Emma Barker

Partner

A chartered fellow member of the CIPD with 20 years’ HR experience in various sectors including energy markets, higher education and private equity owned businesses.

Emma has an honours degree in Law & Management which compliments her extensive HR knowledge.  From dealing with everyday operational HR matters to strategic and project-based HR activities, Emma has a wide understanding of training and development, succession planning, job evaluation, IiP, HR software development and implementation, competency development and business planning. 

A pragmatic, solutions focused person, Emma is also a good listener.  This combined with her sense of humour which is important in the world of HR, means she is an extremely supportive HR professional.   

On a personal level, this year Emma is working on improving her health and fitness and has signed up to a number of fitness including 10K runs, Beast of Banchory and the Kilt Walk.   

Gillian Tierney

Partner

Starting her career as an HR Advisor for a major University, Gillian now has over 15 years’ HR experience within the oil and gas industry and private equity owned businesses. 

Gillian specialises in providing support and guidance on a wide range of operational HR issues including absence management, disciplinary and grievance cases and job evaluation.  In addition, Gillian has also been involved in a number of strategic change initiatives including restructuring, TUPE transfers, the harmonisation of terms and conditions and developing new HR policies and procedures. 

With a general business degree (Hons) and MSc in HR Management, combined with a personal approach that adapts to a diverse client base, Gillian likes to solve problems with fit for purpose solutions specific to client requirements. 

In her spare time, Gillian loves music, reading and family walks to help her relax. 

Catriona Spendlicek

Client Manager - Senior HR Advisor

Providing customer focused, comprehensive and pragmatic HR advice and support to clients is where Catriona excels.  With 10 years-experience in multiple sectors, seven of which as an HR Consultant means Catriona has a breadth of understanding and first-hand experience in dealing with all sorts of people matters. 

As the Client Manager, Catriona is the lead point of contact for clients, developing and maintaining relationships as well as overseeing the work undertaken and providing Partners with support in Business and Organisational Development.

Catriona has a deep insight into employment legislation and how it impacts on the world of work.  She enjoys developing HR strategies for long-term employee engagement and ensuring organisations have the right bespoke HR processes and policies in place that work for them.    
Away from work. Catriona is a passionate cook and loves making her own pasta and bread and experimenting in the kitchen. 

Tamar Minty

Senior HR Advisor

With over 19 years HR experience, Tamar is a practical HR professional, specialising in employee relations and change management. 

Tamar provides both on and offsite support to our clients ensuring that their HR strategy is fully aligned to meet the needs of the overall business strategy. She provides strategic support to key clients aligning with the mission, aims and values of the organisation and ensuring adherence to the latest employment law regulations.

Throughout her career, Tamar has been involved in implementing Change Management as well as  creating new HR policies and procedures and managing complex employee relations cases including investigations, discipline, grievance, redundancies and capability situations.

Like Emma, Tamar is pretty competitive and loves a challenge!  She  regularly takes part in various running and exercise events and when not spending time running after kids, she enjoys baking and decorating cakes.

Hannah Johnston

HR Advisor

Hannah has over 8 years of HR experience, working in many industries including the Public Sector, Oil and Gas and Financial Services.

She has varied experiences ranging from absence and performance management, capability situations, disciplinary and grievances, as well as supporting recruitment and payroll activities.

Hannah brings a strive for knowledge and a high level of ambition to Involve HR.

In her spare time, Hannah hopes to continue ticking off some more Countries she wishes to visit, continue spending time with friends and family and with her 6month old Golden Retriever puppy, called Maisie.

Emma Skinner

HR Advisor

Emma has 10 years’ experience working in HR, starting as a HR Coordinator, working up to HR Advisor and HR Services Team Lead, within the Financial Services sector. Emma has a range of experience through various organizational changes and has a real passion for supporting employee relations and change management. Emma’s key aim throughout her work is to extinguish the negative association that HR often has and to ensure those she works with feel supported. Emma brings enthusiasm and passion to the Involve HR team and is extremely motivated to develop and maintain client relationships. Bringing support and solutions to clients that meets their individual business needs.

Outside of work Emma is a mum of two and a pet mum to Lexi the Collie X and Barry the Cat. Emma enjoys the simple things when she has time – reading, catching up with friends/family and watching reality TV.

Mhairi McGregor

HR Advisor

With 8 years of experience working within HR, working across multiple sectors including the Public and Financial Services sectors. Mhairi has varied experiences ranging from absence and performance management, employee life cycle activities, disciplinary and grievance, as well as experience supporting payroll and benefit activities.

Mhairi brings enthusiasm and passion to the Involve HR team and is extremely motivated to develop and maintain client relationships. Bringing support and solutions to clients that meets their individual business needs.

Outside of work Mhairi enjoys a challenge and can often be found in the gym, catching up on the latest film releases in the cinema with her friends or spending time with her 3 Golden Retrievers.

Georgina Reynolds, HR Advisor at Involve HR, Scotland

Georgina Reynolds

HR Advisor

Georgina comes to Involve HR with over 8 years of experience, predominantly within the Oil and Gas and manufacturing industries, and is an associate member of the CIPD. She has a varied range of experience across all aspects of HR and the employee lifecycle, and she is particularly passionate when it comes to employee relations and absence management.

Georgina brings a can-do attitude to all that she does and enjoys taking on project work, including HRIS implementation projects, and is always striving to develop her knowledge and skills.

Out with work Georgina enjoys baking, reading, indulging in a good box set and spending time with her family.
